I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself and explain the purpose for this blog. My name is Tina, and I was born in 1973.
Over the years, I have struggled to understand what happened during my childhood. I know that I was sexually abused by my Dad for at least 9 years, but I have very little memory of the experience. Don’t get me wrong! I’m not saying I have no memories of it happening. It happened…there is absolutely no doubt about that. I have the scars to prove it. And I have been imprisoned by diagnoses such as complex PTSD and agoraphobia.
I have battled with this for years. I know others must have similar experiences. I would like to provide information on the subject of child abuse and PTSD, so that I prevent someone else from a lifetime of suffering. I would not want anyone to suffer as I have. I hope that I can somehow provide a source of useful information that will enable parents to help their children to feel like they are a survivor rather than a victim.

- It’s easy to pretend nothing is wrong. Don’t make that mistake like I have.
